So you dream of coming to Alaska! Carolyn and I first shared that wonderful dream more than thirty years ago. We fell in love with the legendary Alaskan wildlife and wilderness and made it our home. During a thirty year career in public education and while raising our family we have explored the far reaches of Alaska. Summer guests have been enjoying the unique services of Personal Alaskan Adventures for over fifteen years. Come and share with us the Alaska that captures your heart. And our backyard (Alaska) is big - one fifth the size of the United States. Once you visit Alaska with us, you will never go all the way home. We offer several general types of Alaskan vacations. Each trip is custom tailored for our guests and no two trips are the same. Itineraries are developed around guest's interests, energy and time. Which of our adventures best fit you?
Our trademark style is small groups of six to eight people. Home style accommodations provide guests our exclusive personal attention. Our clients are looking for an alternative to the "hurry up and wait for the rest of the group" tours. Tours and treks vary from relaxing leisure vacations for seniors to rugged backpacking campouts and everything inbetween. Tours are always planned with like-minded guests sharing similar interests and energy. We operate our own Anchorage residence, bush plane, fishing camps, backpacking camps and wilderness log cabins. Motels and lodges are also utilized on low impact and mild adventure tours. PAA is not a booking agency.Rick and Carolyn will be your personal host and guide. You are not sent anywhere but rather we take you everywhere. Carolyn’s cooking is the rave of all those who visit. Adventure is what you will find each day. Let us focus your viewfinder on the Alaska that interests you. Travel at a pace that best suits you--be it sprint or leisure. We also enjoy putting together trips for people who have special needs and interests.
